Vacuum packaging is a packaging technique in which items are packed into airtight containers and then evacuated before the container is sealed, so that there is almost no air inside the container after sealing.
Vacuum packaging is divided into two types according to different exhaust methods: heating exhaust and vacuum sealing. The former is achieved by heating the container filled with food packaging, expelling the air from the packaging container through thermal expansion of the air and evaporation of moisture in the food, and then sealing and cooling it to create a certain degree of vacuum.
Vacuum sealing refers to the process of using a vacuum pump to extract air from the packaging container on a vacuum packaging machine. Once a certain degree of vacuum is reached, the container is immediately sealed. The vacuum rolling machine creates a vacuum inside the packaging container. Compared with the heating exhaust method, the suction sealing method can reduce the time for the contents to be heated and better preserve the color, aroma, and taste of food. Therefore, the suction sealing method is widely used, especially for products with slow heating exhaust conduction.
